Version 5, originating in 2004, enjoyed active support until December 2018. Unfortunately, older websites were not updated to this newer version because the underlying technology did not allow it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, it is possible to convert the site to this new PHP version. In practice, this usually means switching to a WordPress solution, as it is easier to use, faster and, above all, more secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So realise that the end is in sight. Impression will continue to host PHP 5 for a while yet. Incidentally, we are one of the few parties still doing this. We feel we have to do this to maximise customer investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
